“With a love for biology and health and the desire to care for and educate others, it was an easy decision for Angela to pursue her family nurse practitioner degree. She loved the idea of being able to care for and comfort someone as a nurse, but also having an advanced degree in which she could manage chronic disease, treat acute illness and injuries, and educate patients on disease management and prevention. Angela worked as a pharmacy technician and a surgical nurse assistant while working on her nursing degree, which she completed in 1998. She enjoyed working as a nurse at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in the Medical ICU and worked there until she received her advanced practice degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After becoming board certified as a family nurse practitioner Angela
started working for Koch Family Medicine in 2005.”
